Hello. I'm Furuta, involved in trade promotion projects between Hong Kong and Japan as the Director, Japan in the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. During that period, the trade and investment and economic relations between Hong Kong and Japan have grown significantly, and the cooperation between the two regions has become more sophisticated and has greatly contributed to mutual international business.

Based on these developments, Hong Kong-Japan economic relations must aim for further development, build on a good trade-investment relations model, and contribute to the peace and prosperity in the East Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. In order to achieve this, it is important to have a two-wheeled eye of tradition and innovation that simultaneously promotes science and technology in a new era while maintaining regional cultural tradition.

The Hong Kong-Japan Business Study Center promotes academic research on the issues related to the business relations of Hong Kong Japan and the surrounding Chinese region and Asia. It also provides tools for developing human resources able to understand the importance of the tradition and innovation in international business. The services extend to trading organizations, multipliers and individual companies in Hong Kong, Japan and China. Anyone who is interested in promoting business and good economic relation in Hong Kong, Japan, and the Greater China, is welcome to join in this initiative.
